Introduction
By Eternal Paradise
If you have not done so already, please read the eternal debate. It is an exchange of letters between myself and an atheist over God and the past, present, and future of mankind.
If you are a Christian and have read the entire debate, you may be overjoyed, because you know the return of the Lord
Jesus Christ is very near. If you are an atheist and have read the entire debate, you may still be skeptical, or you
are starting to open your heart to the faith.
If you are still skeptical, please continue to visit this website and the ones listed in our links section (which is constantly being updated with FAQs and study tool links), stay tuned
to world news, and become more acquainted with the holy bible. I promise, if you do all of these things, your doubts in God will eventually
fade away. You must consider that if everything I am saying is true--that there is a God, and Jesus Christ is about
to return--you must invite Him into your heart as soon as possible. Neither I or your loved ones want you to be cast
into Hell for all eternity. If you want to know how you can be spiritually saved, it is very simple:
"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised
him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9).
Ask
the Lord Jesus Christ to be your savior, and believe that He died on the cross and was resurrected, redeeming mankind
of its sins so that we may enter Heaven and enjoy eternal life. Also, keep this in mind:
"Except a man be born again, he cannot
see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3).
You are "born again" by
repenting--turning away--from your sinful lifestyle. If you want to learn more about salvation, please click here.
People that have read the debate have been greatly influenced.
A few days ago, I visited a number of atheist website communities and asked them to join the debate.
Typically, if a Christian presents his ideologies
to an atheist, they argue with the Christian, mock them, and try to discredit them. But I contacted several atheists,
directing them to the debate, and none of them tried to argue, mock, or discredit me. Neither did I receive any
hate mail (though I might now, which would be great, because then I can respond with my love mail!)
One of the atheist webmasters did respond (not Jorge from the debate), but not to argue over the debate. He assumed
I was an atheist because I said I used to be a skeptic (which is true, though I was never an atheist). I decided
to take this golden opportunity and infiltrate the atheist's realm of understanding. I asked him, "Atheists are supposed
to accept the theory of evolution, right?" After that, I showed him an article by Dr. Kent Hovind called "Questions
For Evolutionists", which I found at www.livingwaters.com/witnessingtool/questionsforevolutionists.shtml:
Questions For Evolutionists
By Dr. Kent Hovind
The test of any theory is whether or not it provides answers to basic questions. Some well-meaning but misguided people think
evolution is a reasonable theory to explain man’s questions about the universe. Evolution is not a good theory—it
is just a pagan religion masquerading as science.
1.
Where did the space for the universe come from?
2.
Where did matter come from?
3.
Where did the laws of the universe come from (gravity, inertia, etc.)?
4.
How did matter get so perfectly organized?
5.
Where did the energy come from to do all the organizing?
6.
When, where, why, and how did life come from dead matter?
7.
When, where, why, and how did life learn to reproduce itself?
8.
With what did the first cell capable of sexual reproduction reproduce?
9.
Why would any plant or animal want to reproduce more of its kind since this would only make more mouths to feed and decrease
the chances of survival? (Does the individual have a drive to survive, or the species? How do you explain this?)
10.
How can mutations (recombining of the genetic code) create any new, improved varieties? (Recombining English letters will
never produce Chinese books.)
11.
Is it possible that similarities in design between different animals prove a common Creator instead of a common ancestor?
12.
Natural selection only works with the genetic information available and tends only to keep a species stable. How would you
explain the increasing complexity in the genetic code that must have occurred if evolution were true?
13.
When, where, why, and how did: a) Single-celled plants become multicelled? (Where are the two- and three-celled intermediates?)
b) Single-celled animals evolve? c) Fish change to amphibians? d) Amphibians change to reptiles? e) Reptiles change to birds?
(The lungs, bones, eyes, reproductive organs, heart, method of locomotion, body covering, etc., are all very different!) How
did the intermediate forms live?
14.
When, where, why, how, and from what did: a) Whales evolve? b) Sea horses evolve? c) Bats evolve? d) Eyes evolve? e) Ears
evolve? f) Hair, skin, feathers, scales, nails, claws, etc., evolve?
15.
Which evolved first (how, and how long, did it work without the others)? a) The digestive system, the food to be digested,
the appetite, the ability to find and eat the food, the digestive juices, or the body’s resistance to its own digestive
juice (stomach, intestines, etc.)? b) The drive to reproduce or the ability to reproduce? c) The lungs, the mucus lining to
protect them, the throat, or the perfect mixture of gases to be breathed into the lungs? d) DNA or RNA to carry the DNA message
to cell parts? e) The termite or the flagella in its intestines that actually digest the cellulose? f) The plants or the insects
that live on and pollinate the plants? g) The bones, ligaments, tendons, blood supply, or muscles to move the bones? h) The
nervous system, repair system, or hormone system? i) The immune system or the need for it?
I asked the atheist if he could answer a few of the questions so I could "put my mind at ease" and understand why atheists
believe what they do. The atheist called Dr. Kent Hovind a "con artist" and the article "bull". I asked him if he could just
answer a few questions or at least tell me someone that could, but he said he did not have time for "triviality" or "bull".
I am sorry if
you are the atheist reading this, but you did not attempt to answer at least 1 of the 15 questions for evolutionists.
Those questions are far from trivial if they help lead to the universe's origin.
Many believers cling to their faith with little or no knowledge of God, just like many unbelievers
cling to the theory of evolution with little or no scientific knowledge. Our own ignorance (yes, all of us) keeps us
from achieving our true potential in life and the afterlife. A believer's ignorance often causes them to backslide--to
doubt God somewhere down the road of righteousness--and an unbeliever's ignorance completely distances them from the
knowledge of God that can place them on the road to righteousness.
The Bible references ignorance. Here is one instance:
"...they are darkened in their understanding, alienated
from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart..." (Ephesians 4:17-18)
When I asked the atheist for answers to the evolution questions, I hoped
I could end my own ignorance--hoped to understand why atheists accept such beliefs. I told him "I am seeking
more reasons to be an atheist", not that I want to be an atheist, but that I want to hear more reasons why people become atheists.
But the atheist did not give me any. He may have thought I was an atheist slipping towards Christianity, but he did
not say anything to persuay me into "rejoining the dark side".
Part of EternalParadise.org's goal is to convince you of God's existence through scripture and science.
If you want to get a head start, please visit Dr. Kent Hovind's website. He is offering $250,000 to anyone that can provide any scientific proof for evolution. Read about it here.
After visiting one of the atheist website communities, I read a forum discussion where
the atheists said they are outraged when Christians say science proves God's existence. But it has been
proven time and again that this claim is true. I provided a small portion of this information
in the Eternal Debate. Here it is again:
“If there was no Creator, then life must have started spontaneously by chance. For life to have come about, somehow the right chemicals would have had to come together in the right quantities,
under the right temperature and pressure and other controlling factors, and all would have had to be maintained for the correct
length of time. Furthermore, for life to have begun and been sustained on Earth, these chance events would have had to be
repeated thousands of times. But how likely is it for even one such event to take place?
Evolutionists admit that the probability of the right atoms and molecules falling into place to form just one simple
protein molecule is 1 in 10 113, or 1 followed by 113 zeros. That number is larger than the estimated total number of atoms
in the universe! Mathematicians dismiss as never taking place anything that has a probability of occurring of less than 1
in 10 50.
But far more than one simple protein molecule is needed for life. Some 2,000 different proteins are needed just for a cell
to maintain its activity, and the chance that all of them will occur at random is 1 in 10 40,000!
“If one is not prejudiced either by social beliefs or by a scientific training into the conviction that life
originated [spontaneously] on the Earth, this simple calculation wipes the idea entirely out of court,” says astronomer
Fred Hoyle.”
The Bible tells us to "Prove all
things; hold fast that which is good" (1 Thessalonians 5:21). So whenever you are
in doubt, please fully research the issue before you make a final conclusion. I pray this website will
help enlighten and inspire you to be a champion for Christ during these latter days. May God bless you now and
forever.
